EdX launches the “Leaders of Learning” course by HarvardX. Registrations for the courses are open and the course will start on 8th of July, 2014. It will be of 6 weeks in length. And in just 4-6 hours per week you will explore and understand theories of learning and leadership and help gain the tools to imagine and build the future of learning.

the Leaders of Learning course will help students identify and develop their personal theory of learning, and explore how it fits into the shifting landscape of learning overall. This isn’t just about schools or universities; it’s about the broader and bigger world of learning and lifelong learning.

MOOCs (massive open online courses) increase access to education for learners everywhere, and edX’s courses come from the finest institutions and organizations in the world, including MIT, Harvard, Caltech, UC Berkeley, IIT Bombay, the University of Washington, among others.

The education sector is undergoing great transformations and will continue to change in the coming decades. How we learn, what we learn, where we learn, and why we learn — all these questions will be examined in this course.

The only requirements for Leaders of Learning are an interest in the evolving world of learning; a curiosity about leadership in this new world; a willingness to examine beliefs about learning; and openness to sharing thoughts and responding to others.

This course is taught by Richard Elmore who is the Gregory R. Anrig Professor of Educational Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. All course and reading materials will be provided to you.
