Danske Bank inaugurates its new IT and Support Services Center in Bengaluru

Mr. Jim Ditmore, Member of the Board and COO inaugurated Danske IT and Support Services Center in Bengaluru.

Danske IT and Support Services Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of Danske Bank, the largest bank in the Nordic Region of Europe, set up in order to strengthen its information technology (IT) by creating a global work force. The state-of-the-art facility at the RMZ Ecoworld, (SEZ Campus) was inaugurated by Mr. Jim Ditmore, Member of the Board and COO in the presence of Mr. Poul Muller, Development Director of Group IT Separate Entities, Ms. Agnes Egsgaar, Head of Group IT Planning & Communication, Group IT and Mr.

Pankaj Gupta, Member of the Board and Managing Director, Danske IT and Support Services India Private Limited, who will be heading operations in India.

Danske IT and Support Service India Private Limited will provide IT development and consultancy services to Danske Bank. The company had a revenue of around Rs. 296.5 Millions in 2014-15. The Company will be moving to its new facility on 1st Aug 2015 with an employee strength of approximately 800 employees. The new facility will be operational with 900 seats and has a provision to grow upto 1200 seats in future.

Danske Bank headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, has a customer base of more than 3.7

million. The bank has 329 branches spread over 15 countries. The Group has a market capitalization of approx 200 billion DKK. It has an employee strength of more than 18,000 people. Currently the bank is involved in mortgage, retail banking, corporate and institutional banking, insurance, forex and investment management.
