Chennai, Jan.26: Veteran actor Kamal Haasan, who will be conferred with the Padma Bhushan award, on Sunday said he felt honoured and considered this award as an impetus for what he has to do in future.

“I am proud of my nation, and now I know that nation is also proud of me. It is a good feeling. I don’t think that this award is for what I have done. I consider this as an impetus for what I have to do in future in order to deserve this award,” Haasan told media here today.

“This not humility, I truly feel there are many more gentlemen who have not got it yet. I think they also deserve it,” he added.

He also said that he hopes to see India reach the international platform in the field of cinema .

“Mercantile success is not the only success for the country. The cultural success and cultural influence upon others makes a country great,” he said.
