Bangalore, October 06, 2014: The Indian Institute of Cartoonists inaugurated a joint exhibition of selected cartoons, ‘Remembering VINS, PRAN & BAPU’, at the Indian Cartoon Gallery today. The exhibition is open till October 18.
The exhibition showcases a few of the works of well-known cartoonists Mr. Vijay Narain Seth, Mr. Pran Kumar Sharma and Mr Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayan. Speaking at the inauguration, Mr V.G. Narendra, Managing Trustee, Indian Institute of Cartoonists said, “This cartoon exhibition is a tribute to these three great cartoonists. It is our belief that the younger generation will be greatly inspired by these cartoons.” The cartoons on display at the gallery do not need any caption, “as people can understand them easily”, he added.
Visitors to the gallery were thrilled to see these cartoons. Ms Priya, one of the many excited visitors, said that these cartoons brought alive so many memories of their childhood. “They were liked by the young and the old alike,” she added.
