Bangalore, 17th October 2014: Chetan Bhagat launched his new book ‘Half Girlfriend’ yesterday evening at the Forum Mall, Koramangala amidst a throng of super excited fans.
Landmark stores in association with Forum Mall hosted author Chetan Bhagat to launch his much anticipated book ‘Half Girlfriend’. The story of the book revolves around Madhav, a Bihari boy who falls in love with Riya, a rich Delhi girl. The two are fundamentally different and as Riya isn’t keen on a relationship she arrives at a compromise to be Madhav’s half-girlfriend, hence the book title! Chetan Bhagat presents a simple and beautiful love story with all the nuances of a modern day relationship.
Chetan Bhagat required no introduction at the event; he was surrounded by loved fans that couldn’t get enough of him. The event started at 5:30 pm with an Emcee running a contest, the topics being about Chetan Bhagat’s books. The large crowd participated with much gusto.
The highly admired author arrived a little after 6:30 to the cheers of his fans. He thanks the crowd for the energetic welcome and spoke about his new book and his experience towards writing the 7th blockbuster book. He then unveiled his book to the audience and read a few excerpts from the book. The session ended with the author answering a few questions from his fans.
The event saw a queue of over 200 people at the book signing counter. The author signed every book and shared a moment with each of his fans. The event was truly enjoyable and we’re sure Bangalore’s reaction left the author a little overwhelmed.
