CREDAI announces “Clean India- Skilled India- Strong India” Conclave 2014

Bangalore, 22 Nov 2014: Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) is organising its prestigious annual conclave – CREDAI Delhi Conclave 2014, on November 24-25, 2014 at Hotel Taj Palace, Delhi. The theme of this year’s conclave is “Clean India-Skilled India-Strong India”.

The Main Theme of this Conclave is “Housing for All by 2022”, and this informs the Conclave 2014 as its central tenet. The conclave would deliberate the enabling policy measures to maximize private efforts in this direction. It is expected that real estate sector could double its contribution to the GDP by 2022 and help the Government in its quest to achieve important developmental objectives of health, hygiene and education.  The Conclave is crucial at a time government is showing urgency towards urban development and housing so as to benefit all sections of urban residents including slum dwellers.

The event will witness the CREDAI fraternity to work effectively towards garbage reduction and waste management. With this pledge, CREDAI would become the first among the associations of industry to adopt Swachh Bharat mission. At the Conclave, CREDAI would also unveil their initiatives on skill development including setting up a Greenfield Institution for Skill Development in Real Estate sector as this sector is one of the largest employers in India.

The conclave will witness the presence of prominent diginitaries like Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Parliament Affairs, Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Hon’ble Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister for Environment and Forests, Shri. ArunJaitley, Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Shri. BandaruDattatreya, Hon’ble Minister for Labour and Employment,Shri PiyushGoyal, Hon’ble Minister for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Hon’ble Minister for Skill Development, Shri Ram Kripal Yadav, Hon’ble Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation and many other distinguished personalities to share their views on different sessions in the CONCLAVE.

According to Mr. R Nagaraj, President, CREDAI Karnataka the theme and subjects are very important from the point of view of the recent crisis being faced by our city.

Discussion on Waste Management and presentations of case studies will be of prime importance in this conclave where around 30 Developers from Bengaluru are participating in this conclave.

The Conclave would also be deliberating the alternative models of implementing the smart cities concept so that the opportunities of involving private sector developers are appreciated and Public Private Partnerships become conceivable in the smart city project. The event will be a platform to persuade the government authorities to help the industry gain momentum and contribute to the growth of the economy by taking up the policy reform measures.

The broad agenda shall cover the following:

  • Inauguration by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development & Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Launch of ‘CREDAI Clean India Strong India’ campaign.
  • Scheduled sessions will be conducted by keynote speakers
  • Keynote address ‘Clean India Strong India’ by Shri Prakash Javadekar Hon’ble Union Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change
  • Policy options for Civil Aviation in relation to Housing and Smart Cities by Shri Ashok Gajapathy Raju, Hon’ble Minister for Civil Aviation.
