Patna, Feb. 25: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday rejected Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad’s allegations of him conspiring to break his party.
“Lalu has been engineering a split in other parties all his life, and now, he is blaming me for the disturbances in his party,” Kumar told media here.
Kumar’s reaction came shortly after Lalu blamed him for hatching a “conspiracy” to break his party.
” Nitish Kumar has gone mad after divorcing the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has conspired along with the speaker to break the party. In fact, this conspiracy could be compared with America’s Watergates scandal,” he said.
“I have brought some papers to prove it. The person with whom he had planned the conspiracy was working under me, and now Nitish has made him a speaker,” he said.
“Both the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and the BJP are conspiring to split my party, but I will not let them to be successful in their motives. I have a meeting today with all the party members and I am going to expose them in front of nation,” he added.
In a jolt to Lalu Prasad, thirteen of the 22 RJD MLAs quit the party yesterday.
But six of them later claimed that they are not part of the breakaway faction. The MLAs even claimed that their fake signatures were used to seek separate sitting place in the assembly.
