Manya Abroad-The Princeton Review announces winner of India’s first ‘National SAT Olympiad’

Bangalore, 17th February 2014: A first of its kind competition was initiated by Manya Abroad- The Princeton Review called the “National SAT Olympiad”.  Varun Suriyanarayana from The International School, Bangalore took the National Top Spot (Rank 1) with a score of 2150 Varun took home the Grand Prize of Rs 40,000/- along with a trophy.

Speaking at the Prize distribution event, Ms. Monisha Banerjee, Business Head, Manya Abroad-The Princeton Review said, “The advantage of participating at the National SAT Olympiad is that it gives a student a competitive edge in SAT preparation by taking a simulated test and know their National ranking in aptitude tests amongst peers. A first of its kind competition, we hope to replicate this success in the future thus giving a platform for many students preparing for SAT’

Altogether 3500 students participated from across 14 cities. Participating students also received detailed reports on their performance from certified Princeton review staff at no cost.

2 to 5 position Rank holders were given 2 choices as winning prize- Rs 10,000/- or a 70% scholarship for Test Preparation and Admissions Counseling (for an Undergraduate course abroad) with Manya Abroad- The Princeton Review.

6 to 10 position Rank Holders were given 2 choices as winning prize- Rs. 5000/- each or a 40% scholarship for Test Preparation and Admissions Counseling (for an Undergraduate course abroad) with Manya Abroad- The Princeton Review.
