Apple security flaw makes it vulnerable to hacking

Washington, Feb. 23: Apple devices reportedly have a major flaw that could compromise its users’ account security, allowing hackers to intercept email and other communications that are meant to be encrypted.

Following the detection of the flaw, the company released a fix for mobile devices running iOS, such as iPhones, iPads and iPods.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the company said that it will issue a software update “very soon” to cut off the ability of spies and hackers to grab email, financial information and other sensitive data from Mac computers.

Meanwhile, Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller confirmed researchers’ findings which stated that the security flaw was also evident in notebook and desktop machines running Mac OS X .

Muller said that the company was aware of the issue and already had a software fix that would be released very soon.
