Islamabad, Feb. 23: Islamabad has demanded New Delhi to release Pakistani prisoners languishing in Indian jails on humanitarian grounds.
The move from Pakistan comes following the death of a Pakistani prisoner in a prison in India.
According to Dawn News, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said Pakistan has demanded of India to release on humanitarian grounds all such prisoners who have completed their sentences.
A Pakistani prisoner, Shaukat Ali, who was arrested by authorities in India for trespassing more than two years ago, was found hanging inside a jail in Indian Kashmir on Friday, the report added.
